HERTFORD, NC -- Donnie Denny got his 15 minutes of fame Thursday afternoon.

The Hertford plumber is competing in Oprah Winfrey's Karaoke Challenge.

He was one of eight people chosen from 6,000 entries.

His twin brother, Ronnie, lives in Virginia Beach and also is a plumber.

"To him, he's always wanted a little recognition for singing so well. And he always told me he sees rock bands, other artists and stuff and it's like 'I sign better than them,'" Ronnie recalled.
